NBC bans Lil Kesh’s ‘Shoki

According to a recent tweet by award winning on air personality Tolu Oniru, better known has Toolz, the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has just banned the smash hit tune ‘Shoki’ by Lil Kesh. The radio personality wrote, ‘No way! NBC just banned Shoki!!! Ahhhh shoki!’ She went on add that ‘Apparently shoki means ‘Quickie’ in yoruba…never heard that before’. Even though the NBC is yet to update the recent development on their official website, some of the artistes concerned have started commenting on the ban. The management of Afe Babalola University has stopped summer make-up exercise for final year students with carry overs.
Therefore final year students with carry-overs(CO) will have spend compulsory extra year(s) to fix their failed courses.
This decision was taken by the school management at a senate sitting few weeks ago.

UNESCO praises ABUAD, Afe Babalola over retreat, others

THE United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation’s (UNESCO) Regional Office, Abuja has praised the Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD) and its founder, Aare Afe Babalola, SAN, for being the first university to host and sponsor the global organisation’s yearly retreat.

Its Director, Prof. Hassana Alidou, who spoke at the opening of the four-day retreat in the university yesterday, said the development and achievements recorded within a short period of the ABUAD’s existence were due to the vision and mission articulated in the institution’s founding document.

She also hinged the development and achievements on Babalola’s dedication and the quality of faculty and administrators as well as the motivation of parents and students.

Most men in Nigeria will never consider marrying a woman who is not gainfully employed or runs a business of her own. Gainfully employed women are at the very top of a searching bachelor’s list. The present economic situation in the country is not making things any easier for men, who are mostly the bread winners of many Nigerian families. Most men want a wife who can help support the family (financially). Most women and a few men still believe that it is the man’s responsibility to provide for his family and allowing a woman to do part of his job is nothing but an insult to his manhood.

1. She ignores your calls: This is the number one bummer. This was the first answer I was given by most ladies. You think because she gave you her number when you asked for it means she likes you or would pick up your calls. Think again! If all the time you call, she never picks up, maybe you should consider looking for another babe.
2. She gives you the I’ll-call-you-back flip-off: This is very common. If she tells you each time you call her, “Tunde I’m so sorry, I am in the middle of something. I would call you back in five minutes” and then doesn’t, she probably never will. So, don’t wait around for it.

5. She is materialistic: I found this answer rather hilarious. One of the ladies I interviewed said, “Its very easy, just demand loads of things from him, he would run away”. Today, it is her hair, tomorrow, it’s a car. Guys, a little expo, she might not actually be this kind of person. She just does not care about you and wants to discard you. So Romeo, look for your Juliet somewhere else.
6. She prefers dates in public places: This is another sign. Every time you keep asking her out on dates or ask her to have dinner at your house, she looks for ways to shy away. She does not want to be trapped in an uncomfortable position where it would only be the two of you. No matter how hard you try, she would avoid intimate lunches or dinners.
