Oxford University rates ABUAD high

The revered Oxford University in the United Kingdom has categorized the multiple Award-wining Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), among the best universities in the world.
This has become another merited feather to the already crowded cap of Accolades, Awards and recognition that have been the lot of the university which has been variously described as a model, benchmark and reference point, the most dynamic, progressive and fastest growing university in Africa, since its inception.
The cheering news was contained in an April 10, 2014 letter from Oxford University, inviting ABUAD to join other top universities in the world to participate in a symposium titled “Global Higher Education in the 21st Century” at Balliol College, University of Oxford between August 27-29, 2014.
The letter which was signed by Anant Nepalia said, “In the era of technology-driven education, how world top universities can help in raising the excellence standards of the universities in countries like Nigeria. It is (of) tremendous opportunity to meet and reach out to top Emeritus Professors of other universities who are in the forefront of improving the quality of Higher Education, thus appointed them as Visiting Faculty or Advisors/Mentors to your institution”.
He added: “The Conference offers attendees a variety of learning experiences and networking opportunities…I look forward to hearing from you soon. Please note that participation is limited and by invitation only”.
Reacting to the invitation, the elated Founder and President Emeritus of ABUAD, Aare Afe Babalola, SAN, said if Oxford University could rank ABUAD as one of the top Universities in the world within a space of four years, then there is every reason to be joyful and give thanks to the Almighty God.
His words: “We are not only thrilled by the invitation and the theme of the symposium “Global Higher Education in the 21st Century”, we are equally eager to join other world top universities in raising the bar of excellence in standards in universities in countries like Nigeria, which we have been pioneering since the establishment of this university”.
We are also looking forward to the opportunity of interacting and brainstorming with top Emeritus Professors who are in the forefront of improving the quality of Higher Education and exploring the possibility of partnering with them.
